Targeted: Check your cobranded Chase cards for elevated earning rates

Editor’s note: This is a recurring post, regularly updated with new information and offers.

Are you a cobranded Chase cardholder? If so, check your account for targeted offers that include elevated earnings across three popular categories: groceries, gas stations and home improvement stores.

Here’s a look at the offers some cardholders were targeted for in Q2, which are valid through June 30.

Eligible Chase cards

The following credit cards are among some of the most popular that are eligible to currently earn a healthy 5 points per dollar spent on grocery store purchases, gas fill-ups and home improvement purchases:

If you hold more than one of these cards, you’ll have to check each individual account to confirm whether or not you’ve been targeted for the elevated earning rate.

Additionally, the IHG One Rewards Premier card earns an elevated 5 points per dollar spent at gas stations and dining while the Prime Visa earns 2% cash back on local transit, gas stations and restaurants.

Activating Chase offers

If you are targeted for an offer, you must activate it before taking advantage of the bonus earnings.

Activating these targeted Chase spending offers will be slightly different from activating Chase cash back offers; instead of just clicking the plus symbol to add a current offer to your card, you’ll have to fill out a few fields with your last name, the last four digits of your card number and your zip code.

Reminder: Other current offers

Remember to also activate your cash back offers on any Chase cards that feature quarterly rotating categories.

And Chase’s partnership with Lyft isn’t new, but Chase Sapphire Reserve® cardholders can continue to earn 10 points per dollar on Lyft rides and get complimentary Lyft Pink status. Those with the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, Chase Freedom (no longer open to new applicants), Chase Freedom Flex℠, Chase Freedom Unlimited® and all Ink Business credit cards can earn 5 points per dollar. This partnership runs through March 2025.

Bottom line

With several ways to earn bonus points and miles across certain Chase cards, it is definitely worth a few seconds of your time to check your eligibility and register. Remember to check each card individually and activate any available offers before spending in those categories.
